The Five Best Stock Trading Books

The Five Best Stock Trading Books

After reading hundreds of trading books, here are the ones I found to be the best for helping me make money in the stock market specifically.

‘How to Make Money in Stocks: A Winning System in Good Times and Bad, Fourth Edition’ This book shows the results of the extensive research that William O’Neil put into studying the biggest winning stocks of all time along with the nature of stock market cycles.

Another great book by William O’Neil ‘How to Make Money Selling Stocks Short’ is one of the few books that give a specific strategy for how to sell individual stocks short as they go into a distribution stage.

‘Stocks on the Move: Beating the Market with Hedge Fund Momentum Strategies’ is a book that takes the reader on a journey through the equity curve of trading a momentum trend following system with stocks based on backtested historical data year by year. It is very eye opening as it shows the reality of trading a stock system through multiple market environments and the drawdowns you can expect.

in ‘Stock Market Wizards: Interviews with America’s Top Stock Traders’ best selling author Jack Schwager focuses on the top traders in the stock market with verifiable records of returns over long periods of time. This book is the title in the ‘Market Wizard’ book series that interviews the traders that focus on the stock market.

‘Trade Like a Stock Market Wizard: How to Achieve Super Performance in Stocks in Any Market’ is a book written by a one of the Stock Market Wizards and he goes into great detail about how he makes money trading stocks. This is a how to guide to get anyone started in the stock market.

These are in my opinion and experience the top five stock market trading books out of hundreds. The books I have published also focus on trading the stock market and condense what I learned into a short and easy to read format and they are available here.
